YOUR JOB
As a Senior Cluster Revenue Manager at a&o Hostels, you will drive the commercial performance of a designated portfolio of hostels and hotel/hybrid properties across Europe. This is a strategic, senior-level position that combines analytical rigour with a forward-thinking approach to innovation and technology — including the practical application of AI-powered tools to accelerate decision-making, eliminate manual work, and surface insights faster.
Beyond managing your cluster, you will act as a trusted knowledge resource within the revenue team — sharing best practices, supporting colleagues with complex questions, and helping embed a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven thinking across the organisation.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Revenue & Pricing Strategy
– Design and execute tailored revenue strategies for each property, responding to their unique market position, guest mix, and competitive landscape.
– Optimise pricing dynamically across all room types and channels, proactively managing rates in response to pick-up trends, booking windows, and event-driven demand shifts.
– Champion innovative pricing approaches — including AI-assisted rate recommendations and automated pricing rules — to reduce manual intervention and increase reaction speed.
– Continuously test and iterate: pilot new pricing tactics, document outcomes, and scale what works across the cluster.
Forecasting & Performance Analysis
– Deliver precise, granular demand forecasts on a monthly basis, combining traditional modelling with AI-driven signal detection to improve accuracy.
– Monitor key KPIs — RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, market share — and implement corrective actions with speed and confidence.
– Build and maintain automated reporting dashboards and packages; use AI tools (e.g. Copilot, Claude, or bespoke scripts) to reduce time spent on manual data preparation and free up capacity for strategic thinking.
– Translate data into clear, compelling narratives for both the revenue team and local operations.
Channel & Inventory Management
– Ensure optimal distribution across OTAs, metasearch platforms, and direct channels, always balancing volume with cost of acquisition.
– Collaborate closely with the distribution and inventory management team to continuously optimise sales mix and reduce channel leakage.
– Identify and test new distribution opportunities; bring a curious, experimental mindset to channel strategy.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
– Align with Sales and Marketing teams to drive demand through campaigns, partnerships, and event-based activations.
– Participate actively in budget planning and reforecasting cycles at both cluster and property level.
– Act as a senior point of contact within the revenue team — providing guidance on complex pricing decisions, mentoring less-experienced colleagues, and contributing to knowledge-sharing sessions and internal training.
– Support the Team Lead in shaping team processes, onboarding new members, and driving adoption of new tools and workflows.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
– Stay ahead of industry trends in revenue technology, AI tooling, and hospitality commercial strategy; bring relevant ideas back to the team.
– Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks — reporting, data pulls, rate loading, pick-up tracking — using AI tools, macros, or workflow automation.
– Contribute to the team's AI adoption journey: document prompts, share workflows, and help colleagues build confidence with new technology.
– Evaluate and provide feedback on new RMS, BI, or distribution tools as the organisation's tech stack evolves.
As General Manager, you are responsible for ensuring the smooth running of your establishment. Your duties include, amongst other things:
YOUR PROFILE

– Proficient in revenue tools including FLYR RMS, Hotellistat RMS, ASSD PMS, and Lighthouse.
– Strong Excel skills with a proven ability to turn raw data into actionable commercial insight.

– Comfortable building or working with automated workflows, dashboards, or scripts that reduce manual effort.
– A genuine curiosity about emerging tools and a track record of proposing and implementing process improvements.
Leadership & Collaboration
– A senior contributor mindset: you are the person colleagues turn to for second opinions, complex problem-solving, and revenue management expertise.
– Experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting junior team members — formally or informally.
